Declared by UNESCO in 1998 as a World Heritage Site, the " Fort of Samaipata " or "ruins of Samaipata" is a spectacular and impressive monument built on a gigantic sandstone rock that dominates on top of a hill more than 1950 meters above sea level (masl).
