PURCHASE OF NEW HEMODIALYSIS MACHINES FOR THE RENAL CLINIC SERVICE. Clínica Renal is a regional service that serves 11 municipalities with over 460,000 people, with Hospital Santa Casa de Uruguaiana being the service provider with staff, materials and hospital supplies. It has 19 hemodialysis machines in its facilities to serve approximately 55 to 60 patients. Due to the excessive use of the equipment, there was a natural wear and tear on the machines, which led to recurring maintenance problems and costly replacement parts. Thus making it impossible to use 08 machines in the sector. Today there are 11 machines in operation, each session lasts an average of 04 hours per patient, but the daily operating time of the machines is 12 hours, (4 hours of disinfection and 08 hours of dialysis), since the consultations are carried out in shifts morning and afternoon, from Monday to Saturday. In addition to this service, for chronic patients, the Hospital has 2 more machines that serve the Intensive Care Unit - ICU. In order to maintain the commitment to the kidney patients already treated and the growing demand that has arisen, we request the donation of new hemodialysis machines, with the aim of improving the quality of care and guaranteeing safety in the procedures performed and avoiding the risk of unexpected errors. The acquisition of new machines is essential for the advancement of the service offered, allowing the consultations not to be compromised and allowing patients on the waiting list (conservative state) to start treatment.

The benefited population are all patients with chronic kidney disease on renal replacement therapy (hemodialysis) and patients with acute kidney disease who need urgent dialysis. Three hemodialysis machines would serve 12 to 15 patients a week, until the transplant option arises.
