The main objective of the project is to contribute to improving the quality of life of the beneficiary population, by increasing their economic income, through the construction and improvement of the irrigation infrastructure, which ensures the availability of water to irrigate all the productive areas of the zone, increasing the agricultural activities of the beneficiaries. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: 1) Incorporate cultivation areas into an expanded irrigation production system. 2) Ensure the provision of permanent water and in sufficient quantity for an approximate optimal area of 80 hectares. of cultivation. 3) Optimize the use and exploitation of the water and soil resources available in the project area. 4) Increase the crop area through optimal irrigation, not to mention planting areas under rainfed conditions. 5) Improve production conditions and agricultural productivity. 6) Reduce migration rates to other population centers such as Tarija, Santa Cruz and border countries such as Argentina. 7) Train project beneficiaries in organization and maintenance of the irrigation system, water management at plot level, and production processes. 8) Diversify agricultural production and have better price and market alternatives. 9) Increase the income of beneficiary families. The Uriondo mayor's office, where Charaja belongs, is contributing 15% of the cost of the project, with labor and supply of construction materials.
