Structuring of the Cesar Leite Hospital's Lactarium. The Lactarium is the sector of the Hospital that produces infant formulas and enteral feeding for children. The Hospital has set aside an area for the construction of the new lactation unit; however, in addition to the construction, it is necessary to acquire equipment to operationalize the unit's activities. This new lactation unit will allow the service to be adapted to current standards, providing greater quality and safety in hospital care for our neonatal and pediatric patients. HCL is the largest Hospital in the East of the South Health Macroregion and the only large Hospital in the Manhuaçu Health Microregion. In this Microregion, it is the only Hospital with a Neonatal ICU and with the technical capacity to perform high-risk deliveries, in addition to being the main reference for pediatric hospitalizations. Thus, HCL is the main reference for neonatal and pediatric hospital admissions for 348,764 people living in the Manhuaçu Health Microregion, in addition to those who live in cities neighboring this Microregion and people who travel on the highways that cross our region.
