The Lucy Montoro Rehabilitation Center of Marília - CRLM meets the needs of a specialized care center in the rehabilitation of people with physical disabilities - including sensory disabilities - with its human and technical resources through the Unified Health System - SUS, offering, according to the degree of complexity of its care and its operational capacity, training of human resources in the area of rehabilitation of doctors, psychologists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, social workers, nutritionists, nurses, physical educators and occupational therapists, according to Decree No. 61,003, of 12/19/2014. The profile of patients referred for admission to the Rehabilitation program at the Lucy Montoro Rehabilitation Center of Marília includes: Spinal cord injuries (tetraplegics and paraplegics); Brain injuries, such as sequelae of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA); Central Nervous System (CNS) tumors, etc.); Amputees (upper and lower limbs); Neurodegenerative and neuromuscular diseases; Hemophilia; Childhood conditions such as cerebral palsy, myelomeningocele, malformations, among others. Its mission is to “Serve people with physical, temporary or permanent disabilities who need rehabilitation care, developing their physical, psychological, social, professional and educational potential”, with the vision of “Being a multidisciplinary reference center for rehabilitation within the scope of the Unified Health System, through the dissemination of knowledge, research and technological advances, participating in public policies to promote the social inclusion of people with disabilities” and values: “Ethics; Humanization; Teamwork; Commitment; Empathy; Equity; Social Responsibility; Transparency; Companionship.” Assistive Technology (AT) is known as a set of services, equipment and practices that aim to minimize the functional difficulties encountered by individuals with disabilities (NUTEP, 2019). The right of access to AT by people with disabilities was established and is guaranteed by the Statute of People with Disabilities, Law No. 13,146, of July 6, 2015; and among the AT resources listed by the Ministry of Health, in order to ensure and promote conditions of equality and opportunity for people with disabilities, orthoses, prostheses and auxiliary means of locomotion stand out; such devices assist in physical rehabilitation.

9 (nine) UPPER LIMB PROSTHESES: Transhumeral (3 units), Transradial (2 units), Wrist disarticulation (1 unit) and prosthesis for partial hand amputation (3 units). LOWER LIMB PROSTHESES total 97 (ninety-seven) items, divided into Transtibial-KBM (53 units), Transfemoral (27 units), Chopart (9 units), Insole-type prosthesis (7 units) and knee disarticulation (1 unit).
