What is a Project Fair
Rotary Project Fairs connect clubs seeking to participate in international service projects with those interested in collaborating with global partners.
Talking about a project fair is talking about an open space for all Rotarians in the district who seek that support from abroad to carry out their projects.
Why hold the Fair
The main source of financial resources for carrying out Rotary projects is the Rotary Foundation, mainly for projects that require resources above thirty thousand dollars. However, in order to optimize the capture of resources, the model used by this foundation requires that the projects have international partners, which, for many districts, creates difficulties or even makes it unfeasible, since normally this requires that the the displacement of associates to international events, participation that demands time, language proficiency and financial availability of the districts and / or Rotarians and that do not always correspond to their reality. Due to this need and the need for regular events that help South American Rotary clubs obtain such members, an event is necessary in which district representatives meet, and which has relatively easy and central access to Rotarians from various countries helping to recruit members for humanitarian projects.
